  • Jim is Celebrating 36 Years as a Auction Professional this year.

Jim Markham graduated from the World Wide College of Auctioneering in 1983 and shortly after graduation, he founded Markham Auction Services.  Jim has managed numerous  farm equipment auctions over the years and conducted hundreds of fundraising auctions benefiting churches, schools, and non profit organizations all over Dubuque County. Currently, Jim helps his son Tim with his auctions as Tim has taken over the reigns of Markham Auction Service. You can also find Jim in Milwaukee working as "the ringman that everyone remembers"  for his daughters fundraising auctions.  Born and raised in Holy Cross Iowa, Jim graduated from Leo High School and married his highschool sweetheart Linda Cook.  Ironically The Cook and Markham farms were adjoining - so he truly married the neighbor girl. Today, Jim and Linda still live on the 320 acre farm. Jim and his wife will celebrate 50 years of marriage in 2018, 4 children and 6 grandchildren. Jim will welcome 72 newborn calves this spring.
